Artist Talk and Demonstration by Wang Dongling： "世間萬物皆草書－我的藝術觀念與創作“ (Everything in the world can be cursive calligraphy: my artistic practice and concept)
In this talk, renowned calligrapher Wang Dongling shared with us his artistic journey and practice. He presented the different calligraphic scripts, including the most expressive of the scripts, "cursive calligraphy" script. He then gave a stunning performance. He wrote a poem by Li Bai, in his "chaos script", a script that breaks millennia-old calligraphy conventions by interweaving individual characters and even entire columns of text.
