Independent curator Dr. Kevin McLoughlin presented an overview of the development of book illustration in sixteenth and seventeenth century Ming China, and its impact on society and culture during this period. He shed light on the history and technology of woodblock printing, the development of publishing houses and private libraries, as well as colour printing.
