Talk by Dr. Colin Mackenzie, Senior Curator of Chinese Art, The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art
Co-presented by The Ink Society and Friends of the Hong Kong Museum of Art
In his engaging and insightful talk, Dr. Mackenzie argued that art of the Song dynasty was more advanced than contemporaneous Europe, and that it was as revolutionary in sensibility as that of the Renaissance. Dr. Mackenzie also shared his thoughts on a hypothetical Song dynasty exhibition; what objects this show would include, as well as how it would be presented.
